My name is Shelley D. Winn and I am a native of San Diego. Although I have visited Kansas City, MO, and Phoenix, AZ I always knew I would return home. I have three adult children and six grandchildren. My education consists of a Master's in Education and a Family Studies Certificate, last but not least I am a certified birth Doula, and working on my PhD in Black Maternal Health. I am a black mother who understands the concept of maternal morbidity and infant mortality through lived experiences.
